The Remi is a 24-story residential tower rising at 1026 Third Avenue in the Lenox Hill section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Kahen Properties, the 273-foot-tall building will deliver 81 rental residences – ranging from studios to two-bedroom layouts – along with ground-floor retail that activates the streetscape between East 60th and East 61st Streets.

To complement the tower’s sleek form and subtle southern cantilever, the design team selected light-colored StoneLite® limestone panels for both the multistory podium and the main tower. This cladding choice offers the refined aesthetic of full-depth stone while providing significant advantages in weight, installation speed, and long-term durability – critical for a high-rise project in a dense, high-traffic neighborhood.

The warm, pale tone of the stone panels enhances the tower’s vertical lines and contrasts elegantly with the glass and metal detailing. Installation of the lightweight stone system was able to progress quickly, even in the constrained work environment of a busy Manhattan corridor, helping the project maintain its construction schedule.

The Remi stands as a sophisticated addition to Lenox Hill’s evolving skyline – with StoneLite providing both the beauty and performance required for its ambitious vision.
